  • Date: 6/4/2023 12:00 PM
  • Location 5102 Emma Browning Ave, Austin, TX 78719, USA (Map)

Price: $0.00

Description

The day starts at noon, where we meet the AOPA Flying Clubs Team to present Maximum Fun, Minimum Cost: The Wonderful World of Flying Clubs! You’ve earned your pilot’s license—now what? Learn about how flying clubs help you get the most out of your pilot’s license, share the cost of ownership & operations, and take control of your aviation journey alongside like-minded aviators.

For our non-pilot attendees at noon, join the Ninety-Nines for a Flying Companion Seminar. All are welcome to learn some aviation basics and ask questions in a judgement free environment. Learn how to be an active participant during flights for maximum enjoyment.

We’ll break for lunch at 12:45 pm for tacos!

At 1:45 pm, we’ll wrap up the day with Why Good Pilots Make Bad Decisions. FAASTeam Lead Rep. Steve Bateman discusses why otherwise good pilots made some bad decisions. Steve will present research from several books which dissect the way the brain makes decisions and suggest some ways we can be safer pilots by training smarter.

This is a FREE event, but donations to the Austin Hill Country 99s aviation education and scholarship fund are graciously accepted.
