May is the month of Memorial Day and a time to remember those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. As a tradition, we honor those close to the Ninety-Nines and our mission, specifically the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) during this time. We will all meet at Remembrance Memorial Gardens (4214 N Capital of Texas Hwy, Austin, TX 78746) at 5:30 PM. We will start ON TIME because of the Gardens closing time.
Next, we will caravan/meet at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery entrance (2800 Hancock Dr, Austin, TX 78731) at 6:00 PM. At Austin Memorial, we will visit the final resting places of three WASP and spend about 10-15 minutes at each.
We will conclude the evening with dinner together at Fonda San Miguel, Mexican Restaurant (2330 W N Loop Blvd, Austin, TX 78756) at 7:00 PM. RSVP by 05/26/26 to austinhillcountry99s@gmail.com. We will need to make a reservation.
